The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Osun State election, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, has congratulated members of the newly elected National Executive of the ruling party.
Oyebamiji specifically congratulated Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who emerged as the APC National Chairman, and Senator Ajibola Surajudeen Basiru, the National Secretary, along with other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), on their election to lead the party.
Recall that the ruling party held its National Convention in Abuja on Friday, where new members of the National Working Committee were elected to various positions.
In a congratulatory statement personally signed and issued on Saturday, Oyebamiji expressed confidence in the capacity of the party’s new leadership to take the APC to greater heights.
He described the election of Senator Basiru as the party’s National Secretary as a welcome development and a testament to his quality service delivery and transformative leadership.
According to him, Basiru’s emergence is not only a blessing for Osun State, his state of origin, but also for the entire Southwest and Southern Nigeria.
Oyebamiji said: “I am very elated at the successful completion of our party’s National Convention which took place in Abuja yesterday, where the leadership of the party emerged seamlessly.
“No doubt, the election of our National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, National Secretary, Senator Ajibola Surajudeen Basiru, and other principal officers is a clear testament to their achievements over time.
“I celebrate our very own, Dr. Ajibola Basiru, on his election. Senator Basiru has proven himself to be a reliable companion, dependable ally and an epitome of integrity, loyalty and dignity.”
Oyebamiji prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide and strengthen the newly elected leaders as they begin what he described as a fruitful and meritorious service to the party and the country at large.
