The All Progressives Congress (APC), has unveiled a revised timetable for its 2027 election activities, setting out fresh dates for the sale of forms, screening of aspirants, and conduct of primary elections.
The updated schedule, released on Monday at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, was signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and confirmed by the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
The party said the adjustments were made in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2026 and the timetable issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission for the 2027 general elections.
According to the timetable, the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms will run from April 25 to May 2, 2026, while submission of completed forms will close on May 4.
Screening of aspirants for all elective offices—including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential positions—has been scheduled for May 6 to May 9.
Appeals arising from the screening of State Assembly and House of Representatives aspirants will be heard between May 12 and May 13.
Primary elections are expected to commence on May 15, starting with the House of Representatives, followed by Senate, State Assembly, governorship, and presidential primaries, with all contests concluding on May 23.
The APC also released the fees for the purchase of nomination forms across the various offices. State Assembly aspirants are to pay N1 million for Expression of Interest forms and N5 million for Nomination forms, while House of Representatives aspirants will pay N1 million and N9 million, respectively.
Senate aspirants are required to pay N3 million and N17 million, while governorship hopefuls will pay N10 million and N40 million. For the presidential ticket, aspirants are to pay N30 million for Expression of Interest and N70 million for Nomination forms.
The party, however, granted concessions to female aspirants, youths, and persons with disabilities, who are to purchase Expression of Interest forms and pay 50 per cent of the Nomination fees.
It directed that all payments be made into designated party accounts, listing Union Bank Plc, UBA Plc, and Zenith Bank Plc as the approved channels.
The APC said the revised timetable is aimed at ensuring a smoother and more coordinated primary process nationwide as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections.
