S/Korean President declares Pyeongchang Winter Olympics open

South Korean President Moon Jae-in declared the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics open at a glittering ceremony marked by a sudden rapprochement between South and North Korea on Friday.

Moon made the announcement after he twice shook the hand of Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, during a ceremony in which athletes from the two Koreas marched together.
